In creating a new, fantasy world I felt it was important to explore how the characters would interact with their environment. In an earlier draft, Borr discusses his writer's block while camped out in his friend Morgen's tavern. Although I filled the space with rustic charm to add towards the seedy-- Ultimately, I wanted to give readers a grander first impression to not only Borr, but the city of Katom.
